Areas Of Activity

Areas of activity of the center; It includes associate degree, undergraduate and graduate programs, courses, seminars, conferences and all kinds of programs to be evaluated within the scope of lifelong learning, based on communication and information technologies.

In this context, the Center carries out the following activities:

1. To plan all courses, courses, seminars, conferences and similar training programs offered to university students and the society through distance education based on communication and information technologies, to follow the development of communication and information technologies required by distance education, to carry out all technical infrastructure works related to distance education, To cooperate with other institutions and organizations that provide communication and informatics services regarding distance education issues.

2. To project and execute the requests of public, private sector, national and international institutions, organizations and individuals to benefit from the consultancy and distance education opportunities within the scope of distance education and to cooperate with the relevant units.

3. To organize the education management system and server/client infrastructure, communication/interaction planning and applications related to distance education, to carry out student support services, measurement and evaluation studies.

4. To determine courses, seminars, conferences and similar training practices, courses and programs to be given through distance education, to give credit, to give certificates, certificates of participation, certificates of passing courses and the like.

5. Organizing and presenting the registration, acceptance, exam, success and course passing and similar procedures for courses, seminars, conferences, lectures and similar programs to be given through distance education

6. To determine and assign the instructors who will take part in courses, seminars, conferences, lectures and similar teaching activities to be given through distance education, to ensure cooperation and coordination with the relevant units.

7. To follow the applicable legislation on distance education and to regulate the practices within this scope.

8. To design and carry out education courses/programs to be given to public and private institutions and individuals through distance education together with the relevant units.

9. To carry out other activities recommended by the Rectorate and/or decided by the Central Executive Board within the scope of distance education.

10. To conduct research and development studies on distance education issues.

The Center uses information transfer tools while carrying out the above-mentioned activities for distance education.
